Patience is a Virtue.

Patience --> the state of endurance under difficult circumstances, which can mean persevering in the face of delay or provocation without acting on annoyance/anger in a negative way; or exhibiting forbearance when under strain, especially when faced with longer-term difficulties. Patience is the level of endurance one's character can take before negativity. It is also used to refer to the character trait of being steadfast.

Something I'm really trying to work on lately is my PATIENCE.
I have always been a generally impatient person, and I tend to find myself wanting to do everything fast.
However, I've been realizing that, even though I'm young, my time is precious.

I have been going through a situation in my life the past couple weeks that has really challenged me to TRUST in the Lord's plan for my life, and also to seek him first above all others. It has been hard, but every day I am becoming a stronger and more patient person because I am putting God's will above my own.

Here are a few inspiring quotes about patience that I hope to take to heart as I learn to embrace the "queen of all virtues" (St. John Chrysostom):

"Patience is the companion of wisdom." --St. Agustine
"Learn the art of patience. Apply discipline to your thoughts when they become anxious over the outcome of a goal. Impatience breeds anxiety, fear, discouragement, and failure. Patience creates confidence, decisiveness, and a rational outlook, which eventually leads to success." --Brian Adams
"Be patient ... until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious crop from the earth, being patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains. You also must be patient." -- James 5:7-8
"Adopt the pace of nature; her secret is patience." --Ralph Waldo Emerson
"Patience and diligence, like faith, remove mountains." --William Penn
"Obedience is the fruit of faith; patience, the bloom on the fruit." --Christina Rossetti
"The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him." --Lamentation 3:25
"Patient endurance attains all things." --St. Teresa
"Where there is patience and humility, there is neither anger nor vexation." --Pope St. Gregory I, The Great
"Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections but instantly set about remedying them - every day begin the task anew." --St Francis
I hope you, too, can realize the importance of being patient and trusting in what God has in store for you... becuase it is certainly much much better than anything you could ever imagine on your own!  :)

  4. Be anxious (impatiant) for nothing. But in all things, through prayer and supplicatioh with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.
